Kransekake or Wreath cake
Kransekake, also known as tower cake, is a traditional Norwegian and Danish cake made from almonds, icing sugar, and egg whites. It is popular for holidays and special events, but its preparation is time-consuming and challenging for beginners, taking over 60 minutes. Leftover cake can be kept soft by storing it in a bread pan or freezing it. Heating the dough releases almond oil, making it more flexible.
