Ordering at a café in English: what this English lesson covers

Practice questions
- You want a coffee. Which sentence is the most polite? Options: Give me coffee, Could I have a coffee, please, I want coffee.
- ‘Eat in or take away?’ You want to leave with your drink. You say. Options: Take away, please, Eat in, please, That’s all, thanks.
- ‘Anything else?’ You are finished. You say. Options: Yes, finished, No, I am anything, That’s all, thanks.
- You want to know the price. You ask. Options: How many is it, How much is it, What is the cost you.
How the lesson works
Each card shows one word or phrase with a picture cue and a short explanation; tap it to hear the English. Then you learn by doing: listen and tap the right picture, match pictures with words, say it out loud, answer a short quiz where a wrong answer costs a heart, build a sentence and listen and type. At the end you earn Mondi, keep your daily streak alive and can practise your mistakes or restart the lesson.
Why ordering at a café matters
A café is the easiest place to practise real English: the questions repeat and everybody is friendly. With a polite request, a size, an answer to Anything else? and a way to pay, you can order any drink in the UK, the US or Australia.
