French test: what this French lesson covers

This free interactive lesson on french test is part of the Mondosol Learn to speak French course. What you will learn

• Je ne comprends pas — Je ne comprends pas means I do not understand, for when the meaning has not reached you.
• Pouvez-vous répéter ? — Pouvez-vous répéter ? asks the other person to say the same thing again.
• Parlez-vous anglais ? — Parlez-vous anglais ? asks whether the other person speaks English.
• Où sont les toilettes ? — Où sont les toilettes ? is the question you use to find the bathroom.
• J’ai besoin d’aide — J’ai besoin d’aide means I need help, for when you cannot manage on your own.
• Bien sûr — Bien sûr means of course, a warm yes with no hesitation.
• Peut-être — Peut-être means maybe, for when you are not yet sure.
• À bientôt — À bientôt is a friendly see you soon, used when you expect to meet again.

Practice questions

1. What does “J’ai besoin d’aide” mean? Options: See you soon, I need help, Maybe.
2. What does “Pouvez-vous répéter ?” mean? Options: Of course, Where is the bathroom?, Can you repeat?.
3. What does “Peut-être” mean? Options: Maybe, I do not understand, Do you speak English?.
4. What does “À bientôt” mean? Options: I need help, Where is the bathroom?, See you soon.
