A2 Communication Module Review
This module check reviews the core communication skills covered in the A2 module of Speak Up. From storytelling to feedback, these skills form the foundation of effective everyday communication.
What skills does the A2 module cover?
The A2 module covers seven key areas: telling stories engagingly, agreeing and disagreeing politely, making suggestions and plans, handling complaints constructively, presenting ideas clearly, explaining processes step by step, and giving and receiving feedback effectively.
How do I know if I’ve mastered A2 communication?
If you can do these confidently: tell a two-minute anecdote, disagree without creating conflict, organise a plan with action items, make a complaint that leads to a solution, pitch an idea in 60 seconds, explain a process in five clear steps, and give feedback using the SBI model — you’re ready for B1.
What comes next after A2?
The B1 module focuses on advanced communication: persuasion techniques, cross-cultural communication, public speaking, negotiation, conflict resolution, storytelling for business, and building your personal communication style.
How should I practise these skills?
Use them in real life! Practise one skill per day — tell a story at lunch, give feedback to a colleague, make a suggestion in a meeting. Real practice in real conversations is the fastest way to improve.
