What you will learn

  • Vale — This means ‘All right’ and is the everyday Spanish way of showing you agree.
  • Quizás — This means ‘Maybe’ and leaves your answer open without committing you.
  • Hasta luego — This means ‘See you later’ and is the friendly goodbye you will hear everywhere in Spain.

Practice questions

  1. ¿Qué significa «No entiendo»? Options: Lo he entendido todo, I do not understand, Repita por favor.
  2. ¿Cómo pides a alguien que repita? Options: Hasta luego, Necesito ayuda, ¿Puede repetir?.
  3. ¿Qué significa «Quizás»? Options: Maybe, Of course, Never.
  4. ¿Qué frase pregunta por el baño? Options: ¿Habla inglés?, Necesito ayuda, ¿Dónde está el baño?.
