Questions about learning Spanish?
Quick, honest answers before you say your first hola.
Is the Mondosol Spanish course free?
Yes. You can start the Spanish course for free with no credit card. The free plan lets you start any course and keeps your progress, XP and streaks. Mondosol Plus (from €10 a month, €79 a year or €149 for lifetime access) adds the full library of 15 courses, live coaching sessions and language-travel programs. You can cancel anytime and every paid plan is backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee.
What level does the Spanish course start at, and how far does it go?
It starts at A1, absolute beginner, and runs all the way to C2 mastery. The course follows the CEFR levels — A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2 — with each level as its own module, and level tests along the way so you know when you are ready to move up.
What will I learn in the first Spanish lessons?
Real Spanish you can use straight away: pronunciation and the alphabet, greetings and introductions, numbers, days of the week and telling the time, essential vocabulary, then travel and directions and everyday routines. You say something real in your very first lesson — no long grammar drills before you get to speak.
How long does a Spanish lesson take?
About two to three minutes. Every lesson is bite-size on purpose, with a short quiz at the end, so a coffee break or a commute is enough time to finish one. Learn by doing: you read, listen to real Spanish audio and answer as you go.
Does the course teach Spain Spanish or Latin American Spanish?
Both. The course is built for real travel, so you will hear and practise Spanish as it is spoken in Spain and across Latin America — from Madrid to Mexico City — with the everyday differences pointed out as they come up, rather than forcing you to pick one side.
Do I need an account to start learning Spanish?
No — you can try lessons without logging in. Creating a free account saves your progress across devices and switches on XP, streaks and the community, so most learners sign up after their first lesson or two.
Can I learn Spanish on my phone?
Yes. Mondosol runs in your browser on any phone, tablet or laptop, with nothing to install. Lessons are short and mobile-friendly, so you can fit Spanish into the gaps of a busy day.
Do I get a certificate when I finish the Spanish course?
Yes. You earn a certificate every time you complete a Mondosol course, ready to share or simply feel proud of.
How is this different from other Spanish apps?
Every lesson is tied to a real place and its people — from Madrid to Mexico City — so you learn the phrase and the culture behind it, not just vocabulary. Mondosol also pairs Spanish with real-world skills like Airbnb hosting, direct booking, remote work and cooking, all in the same bite-size, gamified style, and it was built by Elio, who learned his languages while living and working abroad.
