How Mondosol reports, writes and checks its work

Mondosol publishes learning material, company news and independent reviews. These are the standards every piece of writing on this site is held to, whoever wrote it. They apply to our newsroom, our course content and our product recommendations alike.

Every article carries a named author

Nothing is published anonymously. Each article shows the name of the person who wrote it, the date it was first published and the date it was last updated.

  • Author names link to a profile page listing that person’s background and other work.
  • Publication and update timestamps are real, not staggered or recycled to look fresh.
  • When an article is substantially rewritten, we say so rather than quietly changing it.

How we source and verify

We prefer primary sources and we link to them so readers can check our work themselves.

  • Claims about prices, rules, platform policies or regulations are linked to the official source.
  • Language and cultural material is checked against recognised references such as the Council of Europe CEFR framework.
  • Where we cannot verify something, we say we cannot verify it instead of implying certainty.
  • We do not republish press releases as if they were our own reporting.

Independence, funding and disclosure

Mondosol is funded by subscriptions and by affiliate commissions on tools we recommend. That funding never buys a place in our editorial coverage.

  • No company can pay to be reviewed, recommended or ranked higher.
  • Pages that can earn us a commission carry a visible disclosure.
  • A recommendation is removed when a product stops being the honest answer, whatever it earns.

News, opinion and teaching material are labelled

Readers should always know which of the three they are reading.

  • News reports something that has happened, with dates and sources.
  • Opinion is argued in the first person and marked as the author’s view.
  • Lessons and guides are teaching material, updated as things change rather than tied to a news cycle.

Tell us when we get it wrong

We would rather be corrected than be wrong quietly. Every correction request is read by a person, and we publish what we changed and when.
