How to Sign Up for Mondosol from Italy (and Start Learning Norwegian)

Living in Italy and want to learn Norwegian, plan a move to Norway, or just try Mondosol’s courses? Signing up takes about a minute. This guide shows you how to create your account, read the site in Italian, start the free lessons and pay in euro when you’re ready.

Read the guide, watch the videos, or press play and listen.

Read Mondosol in Italian

Mondosol is written in English, but you can read every page in Italian. Open the language menu with the flag at the top of the page and choose Italiano. The site is translated automatically into more than 100 languages, so you can switch back and forth whenever you like.

Automatic translation is very useful, but not perfect. If a sentence sounds strange, switch back to English to check.

Create your account in 3 steps

  1. Open My Account and look for the Register section.
  2. Enter your email address and confirm. We email you a link to set your password. Or skip the form and continue with Google or Facebook.
  3. Check your inbox (and the spam folder), then log in. That’s it.

You can also create your account during checkout, if you are buying a course straight away.

Start with the free lessons

The first lessons of every course are free, with no credit card needed. After you log in:

  • Open a course and start lesson 1.
  • Find everything you’ve started in My Learning.
  • Each lesson is short and interactive. Do one a day to build the habit.

Learning Norwegian from Italy

Many Italians start Norwegian before a job, studies or a move. A few tips:

  • Start with the Norwegian course and the most useful everyday words.
  • Listen first. Some Norwegian sounds are new for Italian speakers, so listen a lot and repeat out loud.
  • Learn real-life phrases early. Our list of 30 essential Norwegian phrases covers shops, transport and small talk.
  • Planning a move? Our Norway guides cover housing, schools and work.

Upgrading and paying from Italy

When you want the full library, check the plans on the pricing page. Prices are shown in euro. At checkout you can usually choose between instant methods, such as cards, PayPal or MyBank (supported by many Italian banks), and a classic bank transfer.

Paying by bank transfer? Follow our step-by-step guide: how to buy a course with a bank transfer.

Watch: your first Norwegian words

These two videos are not about signing up. They are free Norwegian lessons from other YouTube channels (we did not make them), a nice first taste of the language once your account is ready.
