Driving a car can be a lot more stressful than it’s worth. It requires you to stay focused and alert, which can be tiring mentally and physically.
Going through crowded traffic and dealing with aggressive drivers can make the road feel like a tense battlefield.
Add to that the unpredictable weather, road construction, and the always-present risk of accidents, and it’s no surprise that driving can be nerve-wracking.
Making split-second decisions, predicting what other drivers will do, and staying in control of the vehicle adds even more pressure.
All of these things combined can make driving feel uneasy and anxious, taking away the joy from it. While driving is convenient, it’s important to consider the toll it can take on our mental well-being.
That’s why it’s crucial to find ways to reduce stress while driving, like practicing defensive driving, staying calm, and taking breaks when necessary. By doing these things, we can navigate busy roads with more ease and tranquility.
If you are a skilled driver and eager to do so, please make sure to possess both your international license and your national driving license. It is important to note that the regulations for car rentals are generally more stringent compared to renting a moped.

Mass transit makes it easy to get to Bali. It also saves you money. Here are the options:
- Train: Ah, the exciting journey to Bali! Let me spark your love for adventure. Unfortunately, buses and trains won’t take you directly to this paradise. But fear not!
There are other fascinating options to choose from. Imagine a delightful ferry ride that connects the towns near Bali.
One of the most famous is the demanding 23-hour journey from Jakarta to Bali. It’s a true test of endurance and not for the faint-hearted. I must advise against bus travel, dear friend.
However, if you still crave the rhythmic sound of a train, you can take one to Banyuwangi and then switch to a ferry to Bali.
From the lively cities of Jakarta, Yogyakarta, or Bandung, trains will transport you to Surabaya’s Gubeng Station.
And there, my adventurous friend, an air-conditioned train will speed you to Banyuwangi, where a delightful ferry will escort you to Denpasar. But remember, flights are always the easiest and fastest way to reach Bali.
The roadways, besides being tiring, have some risks. I must mention that the duration may exceed 24 hours based on availability.
As for the approximate cost, it ranges from INR 6000-7000 per person. Let your imagination run wild as you plan your extraordinary trip to the enchanting island of Bali. - Bus: Prepare to embark on an exciting journey across the vibrant neighborhoods of Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Sanur, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, South Nusa Dua, and Ubud.

Each route follows a standardized pricing system. As of 2017, routes including Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, and Jimbaran hold an economical price of 20,000, while Sanur, Nusa Dua, South Nusa Dua, and Ubud are priced at 50,000.

With their convenient app, you can easily download it and pay for your ride using a credit card, much like Grab. Keep in mind that the fares might be slightly higher compared to Grab or Gojek, but still reasonable.
However, it’s important to be cautious as there are other blue taxis that may appear similar to Bluebird but aren’t legitimate and may overcharge you.
To avoid any confusion, genuine Bluebird taxis will prominently display the name “Bluebird” on their vehicles.
Interestingly, you even have the option to order a Bluebird taxi through the Gojek app, conveniently labeled as GoBlueBird.

An Efficient Way of Reaching Bali is driving a moped. It is very cheap compared to others.
Mopeds are around 60,000 IDR to 80,000 IDR per day for a 125cc scooter, and you can usually haggle a lower price depending on the length of your stay there.
Many bike rentals also offer delivery and pick-up services (to airports, your villa or hotel, etc).
